Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge is Open!
Many thanks to the more than 6,000 community members who attended the Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge Community Open House on Saturday, March 1. Thousands of community members joined hands with Palmetto Health team members to create a “Circle of Health” to bless the new hospital, those who helped make the vision a reality, the caregivers, and patients and families who will receive care. The hospital will open later in March.
Molina Medicaid MCO Change
As of Wednesday, April 30, 2014, Palmetto Health no longer will be in network to provide services to patients who are members of the Molina Healthcare Medicaid MCO. We will discontinue scheduling and providing non-emergent care in our physician practices, hospitals and ancillary services (including imaging and laboratory) to Molina plan members effective Thursday, May 1. Molina plan members may disenroll from Molina and enroll in another SC Medicaid MCO plan. The Medicaid plans with which Palmetto Health contracts include:
• Advicare Health
• BlueChoice HealthPlan Medicaid
• First Choice by Select Health of SC
• Absolute Total Care
To change plans, please call SC Healthy Connections Choices (the enrollment administrator for Medicaid plans) at 1-877-552-4642 for more information about the disenrollment process. Those patients who choose not to disenroll from the Molina plan will need to seek non-emergent care at other hospitals that are in the plan’s provider network.
