Palmetto Healthy Start is a member of the national Healthy Start initiative and its main office is in Columbia, South Carolina. Serving women, infants, children and families, Palmetto Healthy Start encourages moms-to-be to begin prenatal care as soon as they become pregnant. The program also assists mothers in finding doctors to care for their babies so they have the best chance to grow up happy and healthy.
Currently we work with many state and local agencies to provide better care and services to mothers and children such as Palmetto Health Richland, Fairfield Memorial Hospital, Richland and Fairfield Community Health Partners, Eau Claire Cooperative Health, Richland Community Health Care Association, Inc., Richland School Districts I and II, Fairfield County School District, The Cooperative Ministry, March of Dimes, Fairfield Behavioral Health, Richland and Fairfield County Health Departments, and the Department of Social Services to name only some. If you would like to partner with us, please contact us.
Through this web site you will be able to learn about our program and services, read tips on how to have a healthier baby and family, find links to other agencies that can help, request brochures and other materials, and refer someone to us who may need our services.
