Speech Therapy
The Speech-Language Pathologists at Palmetto Health Baptist treat patients of all ages, infants through geriatrics. We provide services to inpatients and outpatients for both assessment and treatment of developmental disorders in children, feeding disorders, problems associated with stroke or other neurological disorders, voice disorders, or other speech or swallowing disorders. Recommendations and education to the patient and family are provided.
Speech Pathology at Palmetto Health Baptist also offers a program called the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT®) program. This is a program designed to treat the voice and speech disorders in individuals with Parkinson Disease and other neurological disorders. 
Speech-Language Pathologists hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university program. They are licensed by the State of South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. They are also certified members of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
