About Us

Palmetto Health Counseling has been offering affordable, spiritually integrated counseling in various locations in the Midlands area for nearly 35 years. Some of our counseling centers are supported by local churches in various denominations, while others are located in or associated with medical clinics. Each year, Palmetto Health Counseling provides approximately 6,000 hours of outpatient counseling to the Midlands community.

What is Spiritually Integrated Counseling?
Spiritually integrated counseling is offered as a resource to those who want to find ways to integrate their beliefs and faith as they face life's struggles and challenges. This counseling relationship helps integrates the spiritual, emotional and physical dimensions of a person's life. Individuals receiving spiritually integrated counseling often are able to grow in the areas of problem-solving, interpersonal communication and coping with life's disappointments and surprises.

Our Mission
To provide quality counseling and programs that strengthen the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of individuals, families, and communities we serve.

Our Staff
Our counseling staff are licensed by the State of South Carolina as Licensed Professional Counselors, and/or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. Most are also members of national counseling associations such as the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the American Counseling Association. We also are members of the Samaritan Institute which is a national organization that audits counseling practices and offers accreditation to those who meet their rigorous professional standards.
