Orientation, Projects and Other Initiatives

The Administrative Fellow is provided the unique experience of getting a comprehensive orientation to the system during the first couple of months at Palmetto Health. The system immersion begins with the Fellow attending an all day orientation session for new employees to Palmetto Health. Following this scheduled orientation, time is spent on each campus getting to know the key leaders and the main service areas and departments for which these top leaders are responsible. After the completion of the individual campus rotations and shadowing, time will be spent at the Corporate Office.

Mr. Charles Beaman, CEO, works closely with the Fellow and other members of leadership, to provide needed oversight and input for the continuous improvement of the Fellowship process. Mr. Beaman and  the Fellow finalize which projects and other initiatives will be part of the Fellow's individual development plan. To gain practical experience, the Fellow will spend approximately 70 percent of the year-long Fellowship completing meaningful projects. The Preceptor(s) responsible for the individual projects will provide guidance and the needed direction for those projects assigned.
