Ryan Burke, MD, graduated from the University of Georgia. He earned his doctor of medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. Following his residency, Dr. Burke remained at Emory to complete his fellowship in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. During his fellowship, Dr. Burke specialized in endovascular surgery. He joined Carolina Cardiac Surgery Associates in 2007. His clinical interests include open and endovascular aortic repair, and valve surgery. He implanted the first Impella 5.0 ever used in South Carolina. He is the Medical Director of the Palmetto Health Vascular Lab and oversees the Valve Center at Palmetto Health Heart Hospital.
