Diversity Recruitment Consortium
Palmetto Health is a founding member of the Diversity Recruitment Consortium (DRC), a collective group of organizations with the express purpose of implementing a model in which a fair picture of lifestyles in South Carolina is demonstrated through formalized initiatives and actions. Through collaboration, the DRC strives to communicate that South Carolina is a destination, not a pit stop. The Diversity Recruitment Consortium utilizes an Ambassador Network that provides access to a broad array of people with similar backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, offering robust and relevant information about South Carolina communities. Palmetto Health ambassadors are: Rob Brinkerhoff, Donna Brown, Todd Miller, Tiffany Sullivan,  Dr. Cynthia Walters and Cheryl Watkins-Knowles.

Health Sciences South Carolina
Health Sciences South Carolina brings together six of the state’s largest health systems and the state’s largest research-intensive universities in the name of research, health initiatives and economic development. The goal of the collective is to continually improve all aspects of health care across the state. Health Sciences South Carolina members include AnMed Health, Clemson University, Greenville Health System, McLeod Health, Medical University of South Carolina, MUSC Health, Palmetto Health, Self Regional Healthcare, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, University of South Carolina, and University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville.

Initiant Health Collaborative
While remaining independent, five health systems across the state of South Carolina have joined forces in a health collaborative to create efficiencies and synergies that mitigate the rising costs of health care. A collaboration of Greenville Health System, McLeod Health, MUSC Health, Palmetto Health and Self Regional Healthcare, Initiant enables its members to aggregate their efforts and expenditures to achieve savings, to explore deployment of clinical programs and services that will improve access to and quality of health care provided to patients, and to add value to its members, patients, and the communities it serves.

Palmetto Health is a member of Premier, Inc., a health care performance improvement alliance. With a network of approximately 3,400 U.S. hospitals and 110,000 other providers, the Premier alliance works to create actionable data, best practices and cost reduction strategies.

South Carolina Hospital Association
The South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) is a private, not-for-profit organization made up of some 100 member hospitals and health systems and about 900 personal members. The mission of SCHA is to support its members in addressing the healthcare needs of South Carolinians through advocacy, education, networking and regulatory assistance.

The University of South Carolina School of Medicine
A national leader in primary care medical education, the University of South Carolina School of Medicine also sponsors research focused primarily on South Carolina health care needs and provides a wide range of clinical care services to South Carolinians. Clinical departments are located on the University of South Carolina School of Medicine campus and at Palmetto Health Richland.

As a major teaching and research institution, The University of South Carolina (USC) has long offered a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs through the doctoral level. With a mission of teaching, research and service, USC addresses the state's needs for master's level, professional and doctoral education, for conducting and sharing research, and for responding to statewide and regional demands for educational resources and professional expertise.
