March 19 workshop canceled

Out of an abundance of caution for the well-being of patients and team members due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, we are canceling the Firearm Safety and Stop the Bleed Workshop scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital. Thank you for your understanding and support. As a prominent healthcare resource for our state, we want to ensure you continue to seek information about firearm safety and bleeding control. Please check our online resources for future events.

Firearm safety is vital in our community and is the responsibility of every firearm owner.

In partnership with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s Community Action Team, Prisma Health Richland Trauma Center is offering free firearm safety workshops to the public. This 2-hour session will also include Stop the Bleed training.

Join us and learn tips and tools that encourage firearm safety and storage and to stop life-threating bleeding. Attendees will receive free cable-style gun locks.
