Palmetto Health is closing its Healing Waters spa, located at 300 Palmetto Health Pkwy. at Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge, effective Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017. The medical aesthetics, reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery services provided by plastic surgeon Peter Haines, M.D., will continue in the same location at Baptist Parkridge. Haines now is part of the Palmetto Health-USC Plastic Surgery practice.

A: After careful consideration, Palmetto Health made the difficult decision to close the spa. We value the unique opportunity we’ve had to offer therapeutic spa services to patients, guests and the community. With the ongoing changes impacting the health care industry nationally, regionally and locally, we are refining our business strategy to refocus on our core clinical areas of delivering health care.
At this time, we are fully evaluating our core clinical service needs and considering all options for this space. We will provide an update when more information is available.

A: Dr. Peter Haines is part of Palmetto Health-USC Plastic Surgery. He will continue to see patients in his current location at 300 Palmetto Health Pkwy. on the Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge campus. He is accepting new patients. A: A full refund for any unredeemed spa gift cards will be provided by Palmetto Health. Customers with gift cards can come to the spa Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with their gift cards, provide a preferred mailing address and receive a receipt. Palmetto Health will mail a check within two weeks. Gift cards will be redeemed through the expiration date on the cards. Through Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, Palmetto Health also will offer the opportunity for cardholders to redeem their cards for spa products while supplies last. Beyond that date, we will only provide refunds by check. For auditing and tracking purposes, we must ask customers to bring their unredeemed gift cards to us in person. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
A: We are contacting customers with prepaid memberships. They will receive prorated refunds with the amount due. For example, if you purchased a 12-month membership for a massage or facial and have six months remaining on the membership, we will refund the amount due for the remaining six months. We will confirm your preferred mailing address and issue a check for the prorated amount due within two weeks of talking with you.
A: Palmetto Health will provide a full refund on spa gift cards through the expiration dates on the cards.
