Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group will expand its same-day care options by opening a new Walk-in Clinic, Tuesday, May 14, at 9 Richland Medical Park Dr., Suite 300. The clinic will be available Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., with no appointment needed.
The Walk-in Clinic will replace the Mobile Clinic as a permanent location on the Prisma Health Richland Hospital campus for patients to receive care for minor illnesses and injuries such as: allergy symptoms, colds, flu, fever, sore throats, rashes, ear pain, simple infections, minor burns, minor cuts, scrapes, bruises, bug bites/stings, and minor sprains and strains. Preventive services such as screenings and vaccinations also are offered. Patients age 2 and older will be cared for by a nurse practitioner, under the supervision of a physician. The Mobile Clinic will be used in the community to bring medical services to patients who do not have easy access to health care.
What is the Mobile Clinic?
The 40-foot long Mobile Clinic includes two private exam rooms featuring the latest medical equipment, a private restroom, a check-in and waiting area and an area to perform screenings. Patients are cared for by a nurse practitioner and a certified medical assistant, under the supervision of a physician.
Who can use the Mobile Clinic?
Patients age two and older are welcome. No appointment is needed.
What services are available?
We provide treatment for common illnesses and minor injuries, as well as primary care and preventive services such as screenings, vaccinations and education.
Is the Mobile Clinic available for use in the community?
