Dear Palmetto Health team members, physicians and volunteers,
We have been experiencing a natural disaster in our community for several days and you have responded with the dedication you are known for. You have demonstrated your professionalism and compassion each day and night since this event began.
Thank you to our leaders who are collaborating to make decisions as needed. Thank you to our team members, physicians and volunteers who are striving to make it in to work, some staying in house during the weekend. For those of you who can’t make it in yet, please continue to stay safe. And for everyone who has worked from home, thank you for your contributions as we strive to ensure you can travel safely to our facilities when they are fully functional.
You also are showing how much you care for each other. Thank you for extending your personal touches to your Palmetto Health family, as well as to our patients and guests.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our neighbors, and some of our own Palmetto Health family, who have incurred loss due to the heavy rains and flooding.
While we still have challenges ahead over the next several days, together we continue to serve our community without major interruption – which is a credit to you. You make our Vision real.
Please accept our sincere appreciation for your compassionate and continual care of our patients during these trying and stressful times.
