Turbeville, SC—Palmetto Heath-USC Family Medicine will hold a ribbon cutting and open house for its newest family practice, Turbeville Family Practice, Friday, Feb. 22, 1-3 p.m. Remarks will begin at 1:30 p.m.
The new practice, located at 944 Smith St. in Turbeville, opened in recent weeks and offers general health care services for acute illnesses and chronic conditions as well as annual wellness exams. Kate E. Smith, MD, who has practiced in the area many years and is well established in the community, will be the primary provider. Logan Sims, NP, will serve as the nurse practitioner. The practice will be open 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Scheduled appointments are recommended.
The opening of the Turbeville practice is part of a wider effort by the Medical Group to extend its expertise into Midlands rural communities, many which previously were underserved.
