Palmetto Health will hold its ninth annual Men’s Health Day event Saturday, June 11, 9-11 a.m., in the Palmetto Health Baptist auditorium, 1501 Sumter St. Men are invited to a free breakfast, health screenings and a morning of health discussions around the theme of “Take Charge of Your Health.”
Screenings will be held along with breakfast and speakers from 9-11 a.m. Health professionals will discuss men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, stroke and diabetes, as well as take questions from the audience.

Screenings offered include cholesterol, diabetes and prostate cancer and will be held at Palmetto Health. A 12-hour fast and registration are required.

These health events are sponsored by Palmetto Health’s Office of Community Health, which offers a series of health care initiatives to uninsured and underinsured people in Richland, Lexington, Fairfield and Sumter counties. In addition to other efforts, services include free cancer, diabetes screenings and diabetes prevention classes.
